A company is looking for a Director, AI Applications Engineering to lead the design, development, and delivery of applied AI systems across business units.

Key Responsibilities

Define and own the strategy for AI applications, focusing on LLM and generative AI platforms

Build and mentor a cross-functional team of AI / ML engineers while fostering a culture of innovation

Oversee the design and delivery of AI-powered applications, ensuring they are production-ready and scalable

Required Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a Director-level leadership role

Proven track record in delivering production-grade AI / ML applications

Deep knowledge of LLMs, generative AI frameworks, and applied AI systems

Strong technical expertise in backend / platform engineering, fluent in Python and another modern language

Experience deploying AI systems at scale in cloud-native environments
