THE ROLE : The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical supervision to Mental Health Clinicians and Associates primarily serving WISe Wraparound with Intensive Services families.

The Clinical supervisor engages with the team in caring for multicultural clients and, when needed, conducts clinical intakes and develops treatment plans for individuals who are from culturally diverse, low-income backgrounds;

and assists with skill development and training of staff as needed. May provide mental health counseling to a small caseload of clients (no more than 3).

Provides mental health supervision to Mental Health Clinicians and Associates to ensure quality clinical care and appropriate documentation within WISe program guidelines.

Identifies appropriate resources to serve clients in the most effective and appropriate manner within the resources of LCSNW.

May provide mental health counseling to a small caseload of clients (no more than 3) including interviewing clients, and preparing case histories and mental health assessments.

Services may be provided electronically or in clients’ homes, hospitals, clinics, agencies, and other locations.

Provides case management services as needed, including information and referral, and client advocacy.

Maintains all client charts ensuring records are current and submitted in a timely manner. This includes intakes, demographic information, and releases of information, treatment reviews, progress notes and other relevant information.

Participates in supervisory meetings, co-facilitates clinical consults, assists with training as needed, and at times may take lead with staff meetings.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY : Supervises up to 8 clinical staff depending on FTE

QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Requires strict adherence of HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure confidentiality

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or other master’s level health care profession.

Independently Licensed in the state of WA Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) required.

Five years experience in counseling

Experience working cross-culturally with refugees and / or immigrants.

Experience with trauma-focused interventions.

Adhere to the code of ethics of a professional counseling association.

Experienced in case management services and solid understanding of the local safety net systems.

Experience in case documentation.

Experience with assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read, write, and understand directions. Must have the ability to write memos and other basic correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, clients, and the general public. Must have excellent

communications skills with the ability to read, write, and speak English with one additional language. Bilingual in Arabic, Russian, Somali, Dari, Farsi, Pashto, Amharic, Swahili or Tigrinya a plus.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : LICSW, LMHC or LMFT in WA state required. Requires a valid Washington State Driver’s License and auto insurance.
