We are looking for experienced financial professionals to join our Contingent Compensation team based in Los Angeles. The Contingent Compensation team handles royalties and profit participations related to the exploitation of our content and related rights including consumer products, experiences, music, and games.

We currently have the following opportunities available :

  • Financial Analyst - Content Participations
  • Financial Analyst - Consumer Products, Experiences, and Games Royalties

The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of royalties or profit participations related to the exploitation of Netflix IP, along with a solid understanding of financial principles.

You will work cross-functionally to identify royalty obligations, estimate financial impact, calculate and issue statements, and advise partners.

Responsibilities :

  • You analyze legal agreements, interpret contingent compensation deal terms, and prepare payments and royalty / participation statements based on contractual terms.
  • You are able to develop ad hoc analysis to represent impact to the business (e.g. profitability analysis, financial impact of new deal terms, etc.)
  • You're comfortable assisting and leading projects of varying complexity.
  • You clearly communicate complex ideas and effectively manage external relationships. This includes conversations with talent representatives and third party distributors to discuss and resolve any inquiries or discrepancies.
  • You participate in efforts to innovate the way we work which includes system development and automation projects.
  • You provide feedback, research industry best practices and implement impactful improvements to your area that demonstrate the capabilities of your team.

Qualifications :

  • BA / BS in accounting, finance, business administration or similar degree and / or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years experience with participations, royalties and / or contract management. Background in content, consumer products, live experiences, and / or games is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify issues and problem-solve effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator who can build strong working relationships with a diverse group of cross-functional business partners.

Able to provide world-class customer service to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options.

To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range.

The range for this role is $50,000 - $240,000.

We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
