ROLE OVERVIEW :
As the Data Governance Manager, you will lead organization-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing the consistency and accuracy of critical data.
Your primary focus will be on establishing and enforcing a robust governance framework for data policies, standards, and practices, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving the desired level of data consistency and quality across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Establish and rollout an enterprise-wide data governance framework, with a focus on improving data quality & creating / upgrading existing organizational policies and standards, governance metrics, processes, & related tools
- Engage with business users, data owners and stake holders globally to implement data management program enabling them to manage data efficiently and consistently with high quality.
- Oversee operations of cross functional teams & engage with data owners to adhere to and maintain the master data governance processes.
- Determines key data and data attributes such as customers, suppliers, products, chart of accounts that need to be harmonized within a system and across multiple systems.
- Participate in data migration activities to ensure compliance of data governance processes during data cleansing, data creation, data conversion, issue resolution, and data validation.
- Establish and maintain the enterprise business glossary, data security and data privacy.
- Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company's principal information assets.
- Create and manage a central process to capture, prioritize and manage data remediation efforts across the organization.
- Define data management metrics, reporting protocols, and action plans.
- Coach / support business in data quality control through mentorship
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Data Analytics or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience leading data management and data governance program with direct reports
- Experience in and knowledge of business functions such as Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement and Manufacturing
- Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.

- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills with ability to effectively communicate with senior management.
- Strong interpersonal and motivational skills
- Ability to work within a team environment using consensus building to achieve a desired result.
