The successful external (non-FEA) applicant will receive a $2,000 signing bonus following the first 30 days of his / her contract.
Job Summary : Plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities in a variety of educational settings.
Through the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, facilitates development in areas of need such as educational, social / emotional, communication, gross motor, fine motor, and adaptive.
Retirement : State of Alaska TRS
Bargaining Unit : Fairbanks Education Association (FEA)
Salary : Determined by the FEA Negotiated Agreement
Contract Length : Minimum of 184 days
Job Qualifications / Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position) :
- Bachelor’s degree
- Must possess or be eligible for a valid Alaska Initial, Professional, or Master certificate with an endorsement in Special Education
- Working knowledge of state and federal Special Education laws
- Meet all state and federal requirements to be qualified in required content area
