Located in our Denver office, we are seeking a Buyer / Planner to join our global team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a growing team and influence the way we operate.
You will be responsible for maintaining data and planning items in ERP system(s) and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, as well as completing certain ad hoc requests as required by Management.
Key responsibilities (to name a few) :
Major focus will be on managing product data accuracy within the Oracle ERP system and the item creation for Gates product lines.
Work with cross functional teams (Product Management, Customs, Commodity Management, etc.) to ensure data accuracy on items
Drive direction and standards to organization on requirements needed to ensure item accuracy and maintenance.
Develop metrics around data maintenance from creation, to changes and report out on a regular basis; provide recommendation on process improvements or opportunities as necessary.
Schedule and coordinate supply requirements (manufactured or purchased) from supply base (manufacturing plants, 3rd party suppliers or affiliate plants).
Perform root cause analysis to address service level or inventory variances from management plan and initiate and monitor corrective actions.
Resolves issues with schedule adherence, supplier on-time-delivery, and quality by engaging appropriate internal departments.
Controls the inventory of assigned products in accordance with management objectives.
Establishes priorities for assigned supply base to meet customer (internal or external) requirements.
Assist in source of supply selection (manufacturing plant or supplier) and act as primary interface between Gates customer and source of supply.
Maintain planning, and other required information for assigned items in ERP system(s).
Utilize multiple Gates' resources and systems to conduct data analysis.
ABOUT YOU
1 year of Buyer / Planner experience
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent of 5+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge and understanding of production, purchasing, and inventory planning
Prior experience in a high SKU count environment, preferred
Highly analytical with a strong excel knowledge and ability
Proven attention to detail and accuracy
Team player; provides proactive support of team members and shares best practices / knowledge
Self-motivated, capable of seeking quality solutions and continuously focusing on process improvements, while keeping the needs of the business in the forefront
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and proven ability to facilitate collaboration in cross regional and multi-cultural teams
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship
PAY & BENEFITS
Full-Time : $42,500 - $66,800
