HR Business Partner
Medical Consulting Group, LLC, is seeking an HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team. This generalist role will provide HR expertise (recruiting, benefits, employee relations and other HR expertise) to assigned clients by coordinating and administering those HR programs in a manner that complements the business strategy.
The HR Business Partner will work closely with Medical Consulting Group’s Sr. HR Business Partner. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking for that next step in their HR career.
Talent Acquisition :
- Partner with client to create, drive, and execute full-cycle recruiting strategies and processes.
- Identify top candidate profiles, screen and present qualified candidates to hiring manager
- Conduct appropriate screening of potential new hires including employment verifications, reference inquiries, license verification and background checks
- Coordinate with hiring managers and provide navigation through the hiring process
- Initiate HRIS onboarding and self-service process
Benefits Administration :
- Schedules & conducts benefit orientations and / or individual insurance and / or retirement meetings for new hires
- Assist new employees with enrollment and provide assistance and / or research to employee questions / concerns regarding benefits / insurance (including claims resolution when necessary)
- Track enrollment eligibility dates to assure distribution of paperwork and observance of deadlines (for enrollments & declines)
- Distribute and communicate appropriate benefit documents, forms, enrollment packets and update HRIS system
- Coordinates annual open enrollment(s) by distributing materials from carriers, communicating changes to employees, tracking & submitting changes to carriers and payroll
Employee Relations :
- Use knowledge and expertise of company policies and procedures and federal and state employment laws to provide guidance and counseling to managers and clients
- Respond to questions by managers and employees to ensure accurate interpretation and fair application of company policies and procedures
- Serve as an escalation point and resource for managers and clients to advise on administering policy and procedure and resolve employee relations issues
Additional HR Expertise :
- Coordinate leave of absence including FMLA, ADA, disability, and workers compensation Provide information connecting them the leave administrator
- Manage Workers Compensation events for assigned client groups
- Serve as back-up to payroll processing duties for assigned clients
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other business-related field; or equivalent combination of education and HR related work experience highly desired
- HR and / or Benefits related certification highly desired.
- Knowledge of employee benefits, talent acquisition and employee relations with ability to acquire knowledge of government regulations / laws in multiple states
- Customer focus with helpful attitude and sense of urgency
- Accountability with strong commitment to follow up and meet deadlines
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) with an aptitude for utilizing HR Technology (Paycom and ADP, preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization
