Meridell Achievement Center is seeking a Recreation Therapist to join its fun and energetic Recreation Therapy department!

Meridell Achievement Center is a nationally recognized 134-bed private residential treatment facility that specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents who have emotional, behavioral and neurobehavioral problems.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation or related field
• Must love animals and be willing to work with our animal care theraphy
• Experience working with children and / or adolescents is preferred
• Current certification from National Council in Therapeutic Recreation Certification and / or Consortium for Therapeutic Recreation / Activities Certification required
• Valid Class C Driver's License (with good driving record)
• Current CPR required (Meridell willing to provide training)
• Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
• Must be able to meet physical demands of lifting and moving over 50 pounds, walking and standing for long periods of time, and running for short periods of time
