Job title : Corporate Paralegal
Location : Houston, TX
Pay : $80,000-$90,000

Key Responsibilities :
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence and initial NDA review.
- Draft, review, and coordinate execution of corporate governance and compliance documents.
- Maintain and update the contract management system, ensuring timely tracking of key dates and obligations.
- Review, analyze, and summarize various contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements, service contracts, and licensing agreements.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on issues affecting the organization.
- Assist with regulatory compliance in the energy sector (e.g., Public Utility Commissions, NFA, Secretaries of State).
- Support general corporate legal matters, including employment agreements and litigation support.
- Maintain licenses, certifications, entity registrations, and bonds across multiple business lines, including deadline calendaring.
- Perform administrative tasks such as document filing, editing templates, coordinating meetings, maintaining executive calendars, and taking detailed minutes.
- Assist the General Counsel with corporate books and special projects as needed.
- Provide general legal and administrative support to the Company’s General Counsel.

Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate legal or compliance role preferred.Highly advanced skills in grammar, proofreading, document drafting / editing, and legal research.Proficiency in MS Office and other computer applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Experience with DocuSign, Lexis, or similar management tools / databases.Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
