Pediatric Cardiac Surgery
Job Summary : In your pivotal role as Lead Clinical Administrative Assistant, you will be supporting four surgeons in the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Program. You will handle clinical coordination for their schedules and manage their calendars. You also will be responsible for event planning. Requirements : High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Five years of relevant experience to include calendar management. High attention to detail. Work hours are Monday-Friday, standard day-time business hours. Flexibility will be extended and expected.
Department Summary : The Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Program at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is a regional center of clinical excellence, performing more than 500 operations each year. The Vanderbilt Children's heart program is consistently among the top ranked pediatric heart surgery programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report annually. Our Children's heart program was designated as one of 15 centers nationwide to be certified as a pediatric heart transplant center of excellence by OptumHealth Clinical Sciences Institute. We participate in several national quality initiatives, including the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) national data submission. Based on the strength of our database initiative, Vanderbilt is a pilot site for the development of the AAC Impact cardiology database.
Key Responsibilities : Performs key administrative functions which may include serving as representative of the organizational area. Proactively facilitates and manages administrative functions. Supports and coordinates area initiatives. Compiles data, analyzes information and summarizes findings in support of an area. Analyzes and prepares budgetary data.
