The Opportunity

Pillar4 Media is seeking a GM, Marketplace to join its fast-growing team.

Pillar4's mission is To help people live healthier lives with access to trusted resources, in depth product reviews & supportive communities. Our vision is to build the #1 content and commerce engine connecting consumers directly to the best brands in all four pillars of health and wellness : sleep, fitness, nutrition, and mental health.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the President, Revenue, the GM will :

P&L Ownership & Financial Strategy

  • Own the full P&L for your assigned marketplace or vertical, including gross revenue, unit economics, and margin performance.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance tracking to ensure delivery against revenue and profitability goals.
  • Develop business cases for new growth opportunities and investment prioritization.

Marketplace & Partner Growth

  • Build and execute the vertical's monetization strategy - identifying, developing, and optimizing partnerships that drive both user value and financial performance.
  • Manage all brand and monetization partnerships across channels, ensuring alignment to category goals and partner expectations.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead and performance-manage a cross-functional team to deliver on growth and profitability objectives.
  • Foster collaboration and alignment across marketing, data, and product teams to execute a cohesive go-to-market strategy.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership on strategic planning, new initiatives, and scaling existing assets.
  • Strategic Growth Execution

  • Own the marketplace growth roadmap from strategic vision to tactical execution.
  • Identify and capitalize on market trends, new monetization models, and emerging categories.
  • Build repeatable frameworks for vertical scaling and operational efficiency.
  • What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in general management, growth, performance marketing, or P&L ownership roles (preferably within digital marketplaces or media businesses).
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability in complex, multi-channel environments.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen; comfortable building models and managing budgets. Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and delivering against performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making
