Job Description
Working as a DSP, you will be able to assist in a residential group home or supported living setting. The DSP (caregiver) is responsible for providing direct support, hands-on instruction, assistance, and positive direction to individuals with intellectual / developmental disabilities (I / DD) in a manner that ensures their health, safety, successful achievement of service objectives, and personal goals.
No Experience? If you meet the basic job requirements, we will provide the necessary paid training and hands-on experience.
What You'll Do :
- Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
- Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
- Prepare meals and snacks. May include grocery shopping.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
- Assist with transportation needs.
- Other duties as assigned
