Database Administrator for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). Location : Hybrid – Onsite in Austin, TX 78751. Job ID : 2026C0004.
Qualifications
- 4 years (Required) : Experience in data warehouse aggregation and integration of data across multiple applications.
- 4 years (Required) : Experience in assessing existing databases and multiple information sources for the purpose of integrating data while improving data access, storage, transparency, and operational functions.
- 4 years (Required) : Working knowledge of end-to-end data warehouse implementation, including : business requirements, logical modeling, physical database design, ETL, end-user tools, database, SQL, and performance tuning.
- 4 years (Required) : Working knowledge of Enterprise Portal Applications.
- 4 years (Required) : Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) applied in leading development activities, presenting to leadership, and training less experienced developers.
- 3 years (Required) : Experience with user journey mapping, storyboarding, mockups / wireframes, usability design, prototyping, and proof-of-concept development.
- 2 years (Required) : Experience with performance management dashboard development.
- 2 years (Preferred) : Strong working knowledge of Tableau Software, Power BI, Power Apps, Oracle APEX.
- 2 years (Preferred) : Strong working knowledge of Azure AD B2C and Azure ADF.
- 2 years (Preferred) : Strong scripting experience using Python for data integration.
- 2 years (Preferred) : Familiarity with Informatica MDM and Informatica Data Governance.
- 1 year (Preferred) : Strong working knowledge of DFPS systems / programs (including but not limited to : IMPACT, ABCS).
- 1 year (Preferred) : Experience creating technical documentation including design documents, standards, and configuration plans.
- 1 year (Preferred) : Experience as a participant in Agile software development teams.
- 1 year (Preferred) : Experience with Federal, State, or Local government data reporting and strong understanding of state government processes.
- 1 year (Preferred) : Working knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 / Section 508 compliance.
