Insight Global is looking for a Software Developer to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a preeminent foundry for semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc.

The Software Developer helps the software and controls development efforts related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes that will define the future roadmaps of semiconductor logic, memory, heterogenous integration, and chip cooling.

Responsibilities

Conducts software development for novel semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

Assists in researching and procurement of various equipment sub-systems.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

1-2 years of experience within software development

Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming

Experience with sensors, cameras, motion stages, and communication interfaces (Ethernet, USB, Serial, CAN, Modbus, ADS)

Familiar with Qt for UI design and visualization

Skilled in Linux environments for development and debugging

Proficient in Git / GitHub workflows and CI / CD pipelines

Understanding of multi-threading and real-time system design

Experience within Robotics or Semiconductor industry

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working in a research or start-up environment.

Masters or PHD degree
