THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.

  • Cluster & Node Management for aks/eks, nodepools, replica sets.
  • Hands on with cloud best practices with (s3, IAM, VPC, Cloudfronts) or similar Cloud infra.

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and self-healing mechanisms using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch
  • Manage cloud infrastructure across one or more providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) with a focus on reliability, cost optimization, and security posture
  • Build, package, and distribute software for Linux-based containerized ecosystems
  • Collaborate with development teams to define branching strategies, code promotion workflows, and GitOps practices
  • Perform code and infrastructure reviews; enforce DevSecOps best practices in the delivery pipeline
  • Work in an Agile, test-driven model with a bias toward automation and observability
  • Create and maintain technical runbooks, architecture documentation, and user guides

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Shell, and/or Go; Groovy for pipeline-as-code (Jenkinsfile)
  • Hands-on expertise with container ecosystems: Docker, containerd, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Deep experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC), GCP (GKE, Cloud Build), or Azure (AKS, Azure DevOps)
