Job Description
A PERSONAL INJURY law firm is seeking a hardworking, motivated, and professional individual for the position of Personal Injury Case Manager / Paralegal. The duties include corresponding and communicating with clients, opening claims with insurance companies, and requesting records from medical facilities. Applicants should have some experience analyzing medical records. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Candidates MUST HAVE at least 1-3 years of experience working in a personal injury law firm.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Independent and capable self-starter who can effectively manage a caseload
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction from attorneys
- Strong multi-tasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Experience with legal software (Perfect Law preferred but not mandatory)
- Fluency in Spanish
- Assist Personal Injury Attorney in all aspects of pre-litigation, from case inception through appeal
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Opening insurance claims for all parties involved in a personal injury claimDrafting and sending letters of representation to clients, clinics, and insurance companiesPreparing demand packagesRequesting medical recordsPreparing waiver and reduction lettersVerifying initial treatment with clinicsCommunicating with health insurance companies to obtain coverage and negotiate medical billsReviewing policies and records to determine insurance coverage under Florida lawScheduling and preparing clients for recorded statements, IMEs, and EUOsAssisting clients with providers and property damage claimsHelping manage settlements and preparing settlement disclosuresMaintaining communication with clients regarding their treatmentAssisting with property damage and collision claimsCompany Description
