Job descriptionFamiliar with State and Federal rules and procedures. Format and finalize pleadings, correspondence, discovery, Provide administrative support, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, hearings, and depositions. Assist team with trial preparation. Perform general legal administrative tasks. At least 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant within personal injury law, maritime defense, or a related field. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients, attorneys, and other professionals in a professional and timely manner. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software applications. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Clio a plus
Overview
Large Litigation Firm in downtown Miami is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Defense Paralegal with at least three (3) years of experience to join them in a temporary-to-hire capacity. A background in Maritime is highly desired.
Role Description
- This is a full-time in-office role, even while temporary.
- Responsible for finalizing legal document preparation, communication, and administrative assistance.
- Supporting attorneys with various tasks in personal injury and maritime defense cases.
