Job Title : Accountant - Level 1

Client Type : Restaurant

Location : San Antonio, TX - On site - Remote on Fridays

Duration : 3 months - contract to hire

Rate : $10-14 / hr.

The entry-level accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the sales accounting team during the transition to automation.

They will be responsible for reviewing sales data from multiple restaurant locations, communicating directly with store managers, and ensuring accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ERP platforms.

Responsibilities :

• Analyze sales numbers from various restaurant locations to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
• Collaborate with store managers to resolve any issues related to sales data.
• Communicate directly with store managers to obtain missing information, clarify discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain professional and effective communication via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Utilize a 10-key numeric keypad for accurate and efficient data entry.
• Update financial records, sales reports, and other relevant documents.
• Organize and align paperwork related to sales transactions, invoices, and receipts.
• Ensure all documentation is complete and properly filed.
• Meet monthly reporting deadlines for financial data submission.
• Coordinate with the sales accounting team to ensure timely completion.
• Input and retrieve data from the systems as needed. Tools / Technologies :
• Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) for communication and documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms such as JD Edwards or equivalent. Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with ERP systems (JD Edwards or equivalent)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
