Overview

Remote Structural Engineer position with a nationwide Structural Engineering and Investigation company. Opportunity to work 100% remote with a path for growth.

Base pay range : $120,000.00 / yr - $140,000.00 / yr. This range is provided by Jobot. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Job Details

We are currently looking for a Remote Structural Engineer to join our nationwide Structural Engineering and Investigation Company. We provide actionable intelligence for tough questions about property and property contents. From our testing labs to fire investigation, we are constantly creating solutions to industry challenges. Responsibilities

Conduct site studies evaluating damages to building materials or components for Residential and Commercial Structures, including roof systems, foundations, water intrusion, cladding elements, construction defects, and complete structural systems.

Write technical reports that provide detailed and accurate findings and conclusions related to a completed site investigation.

Provide excellent customer service to company internal and external customers.

On occasion, provide expert testimony or depositions as needed on projects; our company has a dedicated Litigation Department to support project managers.

Proactively pursue additional training, mentoring opportunities, licenses, education, and / or certifications (cost covered by Company).

Travel may be required for assigned work outside of your home-region. About 25-30% travel within 100 miles of your home for facilitating investigations.

Education / Requirements

BS Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, etc…)

Registered as an active Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of South Carolina or Georgia.

Active NCEES record (or eligible to obtain within 90 days of employment).

2-5 years of experience in Structural Engineering, Failure Analysis, knowledge of Residential and / or Commercial Construction, building codes, design, or related experience.

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Strong technical writing abilities with experience using Microsoft Word.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
