Purpose of Job
Responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll function, ensuring accurate and compliant processing of payroll. This role leads a team of Payroll Specialists.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)

- Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Develop and implement training programs to enhance the team's skills and knowledge. (35-45%)
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll runs. (30-35%)
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce payroll-related errors. (5-10%)
- Work closely with Finance to ensure balanced general ledger and accurate taxes. (5-10%)
- Collaborate with HRIS to resolve system issues and implement necessary updates. (5-10%)
- Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll laws, regulations, and tax codes to ensure compliance. (0-5%)
- Advise the HR Service Desk representatives on escalated employee inquiries. (0-5%)
- Oversee and ensure that payroll adjustments, garnishments, and other special payroll requests are completed effectively and efficiently. (0-5%)
- Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (0-5%)

Education :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceExperience :
10 years of previous payroll management experience.Demonstrated experience processing multi-state payrolls.Experience processing payroll in UKG Pro and / or Oracle Fusion HCM preferred.Knowledge and Skills :
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations in the United States.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Proficiency in payroll software and systems.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Other (licenses, certifications, schedule flexibility / OT, travel, etc.) :
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification, preferred.Wage : $134,000.00 - $138,000.00 annually; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for annual discretionary bonus.
