Job Scope
We are seeking an Enterprise Architect – Datacenter Networking (F5) to serve as the primary technical resource responsible for the configuration, management, and support of enterprise-level F5 solutions. This position provides architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting expertise across multiple F5 modules and ensures secure, reliable delivery of applications and services throughout the enterprise network infrastructure.
The successful candidate will :
- Configure, administer, and support F5 LTM, GTM, ASM, and APM modules in a large, multi-tenant environment.
- Implement and maintain F5 VIPs, certificates, iRules, and security policies to support web applications and services.
- Collaborate with application developers and infrastructure teams to validate configurations, perform impact analysis, and support integration of new applications.
- Manage assigned tickets and change requests in accordance with defined service-level standards.
- Participate in troubleshooting sessions, design reviews, and system upgrade initiatives across the enterprise.
- Support device-level management, including firmware upgrades, vulnerability remediation, backups, and object cleanup.
- Maintain clear, timely communication with internal teams and stakeholders regarding issues, recommendations, and system updates.
- Provide documentation and technical guidance to ensure adherence to organizational standards and network security best practices.
- Contribute to enterprise efforts involving Cloudflare integration and web security optimization.
Requirements
3–5 years of hands-on experience with F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM), including VIP creation, troubleshooting, certificate installation / renewal, and iRule creation / modification.3–5 years of experience with F5 Global Traffic Manager (GTM), including Wide IP configuration and management.3–5 years of experience with F5 Application Security Manager (ASM), including policy creation, fine-tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting post-blocking mode.3–5 years of experience with F5 Access Policy Manager (APM), including SAML policy creation and troubleshooting.3–5 years of F5 device-level experience, including remediation of CVEs, IHealth / QKView analysis, firmware upgrades, configuration cleanup, and BIG-IQ administration.Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to F5 system configuration and performance.Strong understanding of data communications networks, routing, load balancing, and web traffic flow.Demonstrated experience working in an enterprise networking environment supporting mission-critical applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work collaboratively in a team setting.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard productivity tools.Desired Qualifications
Experience integrating Cloudflare or other enterprise web security and performance platforms.Prior experience operating within large-scale public-sector or multi-agency environments.Familiarity with ticketing and change management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira).Ability to conduct internal training or documentation sessions for technical peers.Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform under stressful or time-sensitive conditions.Relevant certifications such as F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA), F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), or equivalent networking credentials.Vital Tech Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action employer.
