Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain SQL Server database systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This role is responsible for a range of tasks, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, monitoring, and access management. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding data integrity and supporting business operations by collaborating with developers and IT teams to deliver secure, high-performing database solutions.
Responsibilities :
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server database systems.
Monitor database performance, health, and availability.
Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
Manage user accounts, roles, and security permissions.
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection.
Diagnose and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for database configurations, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other IT professionals to support database requirements and application development.
Required Skills :
Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of SQL Server installation, configuration, and administration.
Strong skills in performance tuning and query optimization.
Hands-on experience with backup and recovery planning and implementation.
Solid understanding of database security principles, user access management, and compliance.
Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions in SQL Server environments.
Proficiency with scripting and automation for database tasks (e.g., T-SQL, PowerShell).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining secure and reliable database systems.
