Job Title : Machine Builder

Responsibilities

• Build or manufacture items to drawings and bills of material, ensuring production quality and quantity as scheduled.
• Proficient use of precision measuring equipment.
• Assist in training employees as needed.
• Assist customers / vendors with phone or site consultations when necessary.
• Maintain and repair building and installed equipment, including new equipment as assigned.
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain good housekeeping to ensure quality and safe operations.
• Assist in other departments as temporarily assigned.
• Confer with supervisors, engineering, production personnel, or others to resolve manufacturing problems.
• Report shortages of parts, tools, and materials in a timely manner.
• Operate power equipment and material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, .
• Use personal hand tools to perform tasks effectively.
• Operate mainframe computer.
• Develop specifications from general descriptions and draw sketches of parts or products to be manufactured.
• Work with both metric and inch systems.
• Submit daily time accounting, payroll information, and other paperwork as requested.
