The Role You’ll Play
The Content Marketing Coordinator supports the marketing, communications, and creative initiatives for both GCM Contracting Solutions and ASAR. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who’s a strong writer, detail-oriented communicator, and enthusiastic collaborator eager to grow in a dynamic, high-performing environment.
While copywriting and content development will be the primary focus (approximately 30% of workload), this position also contributes to event coordination, marketing operations, and creative production support.
You’ll help tell the stories behind GCM’s projects, people, and innovations—translating complex ideas into clear, engaging content that connects innovation, performance, and purpose.
Key Responsibilities
Copywriting & Content Development
Write, edit, and proof content for websites, blogs, social media, presentations, and print collateral.Develop SEO-informed blog posts and byline articles that position GCM and ASAR as thought leaders within the design-build, concrete construction, and automation markets.Research and draft feature stories, editorial submissions, and trade publication articles in collaboration with internal subject-matter experts and PR partners.Draft and edit press releases, media statements, and award nominations to highlight company milestones and project achievements.Support publication placements, award entries, and industry recognition initiatives through content development and coordination.Maintain brand tone, messaging, and consistency across all written and visual communications.Recommend strategic content ideas and storytelling angles tailored to each audience, channel, and stage of the marketing funnel.Creative & Production Support
Coordinate logistics for photo and video shoots, ensuring deliverables meet brand and project standards.Assist with asset organization, creative planning, and file management.Prepare creative briefs and manage feedback loops between internal stakeholders and design, media, and social partners.Capture simple photos and videos for social or internal content needs.Events & Public Relations
Support planning and execution of events such as groundbreakings, tradeshows, and community partnerships.Coordinate with PR and media partners on timelines, approvals, and outreach.Track media coverage, compile recaps, and manage event invitations and guest lists.Brainstorm event opportunities and creative community engagement ideas.Marketing Operations & Branding
Source and manage vendors for printing, signage, promotional items, and photography.Support the creation and maintenance of marketing templates, collateral, and presentations.Contribute to social media scheduling, content preparation, and performance recaps.Provide general coordination and administrative support to ensure deadlines and brand standards are met.Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to tone and detail.Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities.Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.Basic understanding of creative production workflows (photo, video, design).Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.Creative mindset with the ability to brainstorm new ideas and follow through on execution.Collaborative attitude and willingness to support across marketing functions.Why You’ll Love Working Here
