Job description

Part Time Bookkeeper

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Part Time Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Santa Rosa, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization. This is a three-month contract position with flexible hours, ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping expertise and familiarity with QuickBooks.

Responsibilities :

  • Record and manage deposits, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Match vendor invoices and payments to maintain organized financial records.
  • Assist in managing accounts receivable, ensuring no accounts exceed 60 days overdue.
  • Process credit card transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Support bank reconciliation tasks to ensure financial account accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the team to provide financial reports and insights as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Optionally assist with payroll management using Paychex, if experienced.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a part-time or contract capacity.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing financial data and reports.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with credit card processing and financial recordkeeping.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with payroll systems, such as Paychex, is a plus.
