The Laboratory Customer Service Representative provides key administrative support while balancing excellent customer care with AMCA’s external stakeholders.
This position has a variety of responsibilities which supports the day-to-day operations of the laboratory environment.
In this role you will :
- Act as a customer service representative for laboratory operations and establish a positive image with members, non-members, partners, and vendors.
- Be responsible for preparing quote requests.
- Coordinate the testing process with global partner testing labs and assist members with the establishment of their testing needs.
- Prepare and update partner lab contracts and agreements.
- Engage with regional managers on member inquiries and new member onboarding.
- Ensure department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are up to date.
- Coordinate laboratory witness testing needs.
- Work with Accounting to resolve member invoicing questions / issues.
- Process lab vendor invoices.
- Reconcile credit card receipts and statements.
- Responsible for ordering lab supplies and equipment and maintaining a basic item inventory.
- Assist shipping and receiving, and certification teams as needed.
These are the skills and background required :
High School diploma / GED and / or at least three years related customer service / office experience preferred.Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and other programs as required.Ability to effectively manage time and multiple responsibilities.Effective communication skills and ability to interact with all types of customers.Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
