Operations Central Team - Software Development Engineer

Our department focuses on improving Micron's manufacturing capability by encouraging innovation, accelerating the best ideas, and keeping a focus on eliminating waste and inefficiency.

We are a central organization driving improvement and excellence at Micron's global manufacturing sites. This often includes developing software that enables senior leaders and engineers to make informed decisions, and implement the best practices without error.

We develop, deploy, and maintain applications that support our departments goals. We use agile methodologies, partner with other IT teams, and enjoy a safe, collaborative, and innovative work environment.

As a software developer on this team, you will develop and support primarily web-based and internal-facing applications.

Responsibilities Include

• Participate on an agile team of software developers, working as a team towards project requirements and schedules
• Use modern tools and frameworks
• Develop, test, deploy, and support software systems to Microns global network of manufacturing facilities.
• Develop full stack solutions using primarily Angular, C#, and SQL
• Expand your knowledge by learning new skills and tools

Qualifications

5 plus years of Software Development Experience

• Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and memory devices
• Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Solid Proficiency in C# and SQL
• UI / UX Design Experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with global partners
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field of study

Preferred Experience

• Experience developing user interfaces
• Experience developing web applications using JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with API development and consumption
• Experience using cloud frameworks. Azure experience is most preferred
• Ideal language competency is C#, SQL, Angular, JavaScript
• MS-SQL Server Database design and performance tuning
