Maintenance HVAC Technician

Job Title : Maintenance HVAC Technician Location : Clarksville, TN Shift : Day Shift 7am-7pm (Thu-Sat & Alt. Wed) Jostens i s currently seeking a qualified Industrial Maintenance HVAC Technician to join our Maintenance Team! Our HVAC technicians are responsible for maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, as well as other production machinery and physical plant equipment.

Reads schematics and diagnoses equipment malfunctions. Repairs and / or orders parts to replace failed components. Provides detailed systems analysis, using blueprints, schematics, testing gauges and other equipment to isolate and identify cause(s) of malfunctions.

Crafts parts, and water, compressed air, hydraulic, electrical and machined metal parts with on-site equipment.

Provides detailed descriptions, dimensions, and specifications for outsourced parts and systems. Coordinates repairs with external vendors and work performed by other through Maintenance Contracts.

Assists with the installation of production equipment to insure proper infrastructure and support systems. Trains others in proper preventive maintenance IAW manufacturer specifications.

Works independently and as part of a team to minimize equipment down time and install / move equipment as scheduled.

Provides maintenance and support solutions to building modifications. Ensures that all work is done according to laws, rules and regulations governing external power systems, environments and safety.

Works regularly scheduled shifts and is periodically on-call for emergency services. Prioritizes work according to safety, production and project plans.

Keeps updated on new technologies, repair equipment and governmental regulations. Job Requirements / Qualifications :

• Technical School degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical or Electrical fields, or equivalent experience.
• HVAC certification and / or valid industrial HVAC training required.
• EPA Certification required.
• Must have at least 5 years of previous experience as an HVAC Tech in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of split systems, package units and ARU's.
• Gas packs, gas recovery, gas heating units and industrial chiller knowledge and experience.
• Copper brazing experience preferred.
• Must be experienced installing, maintaining and repairing units.
• Must have basic or intermediate electrical knowledge.
• Ability to maintain and repair compressors.
• Forklift and aerial lift experience (certification preferred).
• Excellent attendance record.
• Good communication skills - written and verbal.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions, including electrical and other schematics.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice.
• Works well under the pressure of deadlines.
• Must have flexibility to learn and use new technology.
• Must be able to lift over 60 lbs.
