PSC Group LLC has an exciting new growth opportunity located in Baton Rouge, LA. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional looking to join a family-oriented, rapidly growing company. The Accountant II will be responsible for a range of general accounting duties, including prepaid expense amortization, reconciliations, journal entries, financial analysis, and reporting. Work Schedule : Monday - Friday (7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM / 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM / 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM) Job Duties & Responsibilities :

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage prepaid expense amortization, ensuring proper allocation and reconciliation.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Analyze financial statements to identify variances, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and distribute monthly reports for management review.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support financial audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Remains current in accounting principles to ensure continuous improvement of procedures for optimal departmental performance and accuracy.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Support special projects and initiatives as needed.
