The Senior Director of Data Infrastructure and Data Science is a key leader in our People Insights, Analytics, and Workforce Planning team.

The person in this role will have the opportunity to shape our organization's HR analytics capabilities while propelling our business forward.

By strengthening scalable data infrastructure and empowering teams with data-driven insights, this Senior Director will evolve the future of our data performance and the empower stronger people decisions throughout the enterprise.

Leading a team focused on enhancing our data visualization, reporting, and dashboard capabilities, this leader will manage a critical data warehouse, develop and maintain robust ETL processes, and continuously refine and evolve our infrastructure to support predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Our HR Insights, Analytics, and Workforce Planning team works across AWS cloud infrastructure (including API functionality and Sagemaker), Tableau, and Workday (including Prism and Adaptive);

the leader in this role will build and execute strategies and deliverables across those platforms.

KEY OUTCOMES DRIVEN BY THIS ROLE

Scalable Data Infrastructure : Lead the ongoing optimization of our data infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

Manage and refine our data warehouse to improve data integrity, performance, and accessibility. Design and implement effective ETL processes to integrate and harmonize data from a variety of sources and platforms to support vigorous analysis.

Integrate new data sources (including ONA and external benchmarking) to strengthen the power of our recommendations.

Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics : Lead the development and expansion of advanced analytics capabilities, including predictive and prescriptive analytics, that identify opportunities to improve our talent practices.

Coach and guide a team of data engineers and data scientists to build models and develop algorithms that inform strategic direction and optimize business processes.

Identify and report on patterns, trends, and outliers to ensure decision-makers are equipped with the insights they need to lead effectively.

Data Visualization and Reporting : Oversee the creation of data visualization, reports, and dashboards that provide actionable insights and a comprehensive view of our workforce.

Deliver self-service analytics that empower teams to explore data, enhance data literacy and foster a data-driven decision-making culture.

Data Governance and Compliance : Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulations. Maintain data quality standards, data privacy protocols, and data security measures to protect sensitive information.

Influence cross-functional teams to adopt best practices for data management.

Influence and Innovation : Partner with leaders inside and outside of HR, developing a deep understanding of their business, objectives, and roadmaps to support the creation of innovative solutions to track and measure what matters most.

Leverage technical, industry, and market expertise to ensure our data tech stack and infrastructure enable us to deliver a differentiated level of insight and experience.

Team Leadership and Development : Manage and mentor a team of highly skilled individuals to deliver impactful results.

Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to ensure the team's success.

Cultivate skill-building to future-proof the team and accelerate fungibility.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in data infrastructure (including data warehousing, ETL processes, and scalable data architectures), data engineering, and / or data science roles, with a focus on HR data.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau expertise preferred) and experience creating reports and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of Workday, including report writing, Prism, and Adaptive.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure including API functionality and SageMaker.
  • Expertise in data modeling, predictive and prescriptive analytics techniques, machine learning, and SQL query optimization;

strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
