RN II - PCU
- The RN-PCC coordinates the patient care team in providing and documenting patient care in accordance with applicable standards of practice;
- applies nursing process to all areas of practice; manages and provides health care and education to patients and their families during hospitalization;
- assesses, implements, coordinates, delegates and evaluates nursing care of patients; prioritizes patient care needs and provides care accordingly;
- performs specialized nursing care procedures as outlined in department / unit-specific competency profiles; coordinates patient encounters, admissions, transfers and discharges;
- provides leadership to, and development of, patient care team; identifies opportunities for improvement in patient care and organizational processes;
participates in performance improvement activities; participates in medical and nursing research activities.
