The Role

The Public Relations Manager will support and execute Zeta’s external communications strategy, including earned media, executive visibility, and thought leadership. The role involves driving communications plans for product launches, developing thought leadership content, and elevating Zeta’s position as an innovator in AI-powered marketing. The Public Relations Manager will work with teams across the organization to ensure communications align with business objectives. This position reports to the Group Vice President, Head of Communications.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and strategic thinker with deep experience in media relations, tech product communications, and proactive storytelling. They should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be detail-oriented, and bring a collaborative, solutions-driven mindset.

This role is based in either NYC or LA.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute PR strategies that elevate Zeta’s brand, product narratives, and AI innovations
• Draft and edit PR materials including press releases, media pitches, messaging docs, briefing materials, and award / speaking submissions
• Collaborate with product marketing to drive media for product announcements and surface insights from Zeta’s Data Cloud, highlighting customer success stories
• Support media outreach and identify story angles for traditional and emerging channels (podcasts, newsletters, influencers); monitor inbound media requests and coordinate responses
• Maintain media lists, coverage trackers, and reporting dashboards
• Assist in managing day-to-day activities with external PR agency to drive corporate and product media strategies
• Partner with social media and content teams to amplify earned coverage across owned channels
• Prepare briefing docs and coordinate logistics for interviews, events, and speaking engagements
• Work cross-functionally with brand, social media, data science, content, events, and other teams
• Develop understanding of Zeta’s customers and products and stay on top of macro topics and trending stories for thought leadership
• Identify timely moments for storytelling and drive PR plays using Zeta’s data and POV
• Train and equip spokespeople; secure and support media and speaking opportunities
• Maintain Zeta’s press assets and newsroom

Salary

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $135,000, depending on location and experience.
