Human Resources Position
Schedule / Hours : M - F 9 : 00am - 5 : 00pm (35 hours per week)
This position is responsible for :
- Works at the PBC Area Command Administrative office to lead HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager; evaluates current HR administrative processes to determine overall effectiveness; plans, prepares and maintains automated and / or manual personnel records for all employees of the division; prepares and reviews all paperwork necessary to process salary increases for current employees; reviews and verifies all exempt employee information forms submitted by the corps to ensure accuracy and completeness; performs administrative functions and assists in special projects; works with other generalist as needed on recruitment, benefits, and compensation.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Receives, reviews, and processes all miscellaneous proposals, i.e. transfers and status changes from the division and Divisional Headquarters to be presented before the Divisional Finance Board for review and approval; serves as liaison between the Divisional Human Resources department and PBC Area Command, including the Corps communicating requests for additional information and proposal status; consults with compensation as necessary to ensure all proposals meet compensation policies and compensation plan guidelines.
- Inputs data and monitors and maintains the (Paycom) HRIS for system capabilities to be fully utilized while ensuring accuracy and completeness of employee records; produces various reports as requested / required.
- Leads projects and initiatives including the annual benefits open enrollment, new hire / onboarding, increase options, and seasonal hire processes; assists HR Manager in determining / creating / developing processes and evaluates to determine overall and continued project effectiveness.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.Ability to perform mathematical calculations.Ability to transcribe dictation and type.Ability to keypunch information into a computer.Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically.Ability to operate various general office equipment including a telephone, typewriter, computer, facsimile machine, and calculator.Duties are usually performed seated. Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, and two to three years progressively responsible experience working in a human resource office, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
