Job Title : People Operations Associate
Location & Duration : On-site, New York HQ, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday
Reports to : HR Director
Base pay range : $58,000.00 / yr - $65,000.00 / yr
This role is a on-site cornerstone of our team, supporting day-to-day people operations, recruiting efforts, and maintaining smooth HQ operations in a fast-paced startup environment. The ideal candidate treats challenging projects as opportunities for growth and adapts to changing priorities.
Responsibilities
- People Operations : support day-to-day HR functions including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, respond clearly, and escalate complex issues as needed
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes end-to-end
- Maintain accurate and confidential HRIS / payroll data, personnel files, run regular audits, and process data changes
- Support benefits administration, leave of absence management, background checks, and required compliance training / attestations
- Maintain employee records and HR systems (Rippling, Notion) with data integrity
- Assist with HR reporting and preparation of employee communications
- Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with labor laws and company standards
- Provide guidance on HR policies, processes, and resources through studio visits
- Office Management (HQ) : oversee daily operations of the New York HQ, manage office supplies, vendor relationships, and facility needs (maintenance, security, IT coordination)
- Plan and execute office events, team gatherings, and employee engagement activities
- Serve as point of contact for office-related inquiries and ensure a positive on-site experience for employees and guests
- Recruiting Coordination : assist with scheduling interviews, postings, applicant tracking, and candidate communications
- Partner with hiring managers and the Recruiting and Learning & Development teams to support hiring and onboarding
- Assist with pre-employment paperwork
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred2–6 years of experience in HR, office management, or people operations (internships included)Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to prioritize and multitaskExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport across teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Rippling, Notion, and applicant tracking systems is a plusAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionProactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a positive, team-first attitudeEmployment details
