Senior Mechanical Engineer – Power Generation

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with specialized expertise in power generation or combined cycle plant operations to join our team. This full-time position requires a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with turbines and power plant equipment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing power generation systems to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems and components for power generation, with a focus on turbines, boilers, and combined cycle plant equipment.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations, simulations, and modeling to support system upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of power plant equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and operations staff, to improve plant performance and efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, maintenance schedules, and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and plant staff.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and execution for power plant upgrades or new installations.
