Location : Las Vegas, Nevada, US The primary responsibility of the Cocktail Server is to for provide all Hotel / Casino guests with unmatched guest service in every interaction.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Efficiently and accurately takes and delivers orders, possess excellent interpersonal service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor, manages multiple tasks and remain calm in very high paced and stressful environment and works well under pressure.
- Interacts with guests while taking drink orders; to include up-selling and delivering high quality drink orders to the guests in a timely manner.
- Must be familiar with both semi and modified beverage club service.
- Maintains assigned areas by keeping them clean and free of debris and tracks guests while they move about the Casino floor.
- Handles cash and credit transactions associated with beverage sales, accurately and efficiently; provides appropriate change to the guests.
- Knowledge and terminology of beer, wine, and spirits.
- Must be familiar with domestic and imported beers, different types of wine, brand name spirits, and garnishments.
- Provides accurate directions and information for guest inquires and is knowledgeable about all aspects of The Venetian and The Palazzo;
to include services, features, attractions, promotions and special events.
- Provide a service or assistance to meet the needs of a guest, client or customer.
- Provides unmatched service to guests at all times. Proactively seeks guest service opportunities.
- Safety is an essential function of this job.
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :
- 21+ years of age
- Proof of authorization / eligibility to work in the United States
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card and Food handler's card (Health card) and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- Minimum one (1) year cocktail service experience in a high volume cash handling setting required.
- Must possess superior customer service skills.
- Previous experience at a pool or nightclub preferred.
- Must possess brand and / or recipe knowledge and be familiar with customer ordering practices for beers, wines and spirits.
- Must possess knowledge of attractions / restaurants in the Las Vegas area and provided by The Venetian and The Palazzo.
- Must have the ability to speak and to listen in a public forum, basic math skills are required, and ability to handle cash and accurately make change.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

- Lift or carry a minimum of 25 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned.
- Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
- Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
- Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
- Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
- Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods.
