Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Hardware Product Manager to lead the development and launch of innovative hardware products. You will own the product lifecycle from concept to commercialization, working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams (including global ODM partners) to deliver world-class hardware that enhances our connected ecosystem.

This is a high-impact role for a technically-savvy product leader with deep experience in hardware development and manufacturing processes. If you thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and are driven to bring exceptional consumer products to market, we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for the hardware portfolio, aligned with company strategy and customer insights.
  • Identify opportunities to grow revenue, reduce costs, and improve the end-user experience.

End-to-End Product Development

  • Drive all phases of product development—from concept, specification, and prototyping to validation, tooling, manufacturing, and launch.
  • Lead technical scoping in close partnership with engineering, design, quality, and supply chain teams.
  • Collaborate with global ODM partners to manage development timelines, cost targets, and product performance.
  • Ensure detailed PRDs, DVT / PVT planning, and thorough design reviews to deliver manufacturable and scalable products.
  • ODM & Supplier Collaboration

  • Work directly with ODMs and key suppliers across Asia and other regions to manage NPI execution, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with specs and quality standards.
  • Support vendor selection and evaluation based on capability, innovation, and cost efficiency.
  • Drive joint development efforts, ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Innovation Leadership

  • Champion forward-thinking product concepts and next-generation hardware through market trends, technology scouting, and consumer research.
  • Develop compelling business cases and concept validation plans to secure leadership buy-in and roadmap prioritization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with software, materials, marketing, sales, and customer experience teams to ensure integrated product experiences and go-to-market readiness.
  • Act as a central point of contact between internal teams and external partners for all product-related decisions.
  • Market & Consumer Insights

  • Collaborate with research teams to translate consumer feedback and market trends into actionable product strategies.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking to identify white space and areas for differentiation.
  • Quality & Risk Management

  • Partner with quality engineering and compliance teams to manage risk assessments, regulatory approvals, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure high product reliability and adherence to global standards (FCC, CE, UL, etc.).
  • Performance Tracking

  • Monitor product performance post-launch and drive iterative improvements through consumer feedback and data analysis.
  • Qualifications

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Design, Marketing, or related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience

  • 3+ years of product management experience with consumer hardware.
  • Deep knowledge of product development processes
  • Experience with global supply chains and cross-border product development.
  • Track record of launching complex hardware products in fast-paced environments (e.g., consumer electronics, IoT devices, tools, or CPG).
  • Skills

  • Technical fluency and ability to translate between engineering, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
  • Excellent project management, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in statistical data analysis, consumer insights, and market research.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Arena) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge of hardware quality processes (e.g., DOE, 8D, CAPA) and compliance standards (FCC / CE / UL) preferred.
  • Ability to travel oversea to our ODM partners.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with crafting, DIY, or creative tools.
  • Experience in developing connected devices or managing hardware-software ecosystems.
  • International product launch experience, including product localization and market entry strategy.
  • Bilingual abilities or international business experience.
  • What We Value

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a “builder” attitude and a drive to move quickly and adapt.
  • Passion for innovation and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Collaborative spirit with strong influencing skills and cross-functional leadership.
  • Customer-first approach with a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.
  • Additional Information

    We’ve got you covered

At Cricut, we take care of our people. You'll also get exclusive employee discounts—and best of all, you’ll be surrounded by some of the most talented and creative individuals out there.

A Quick Note Before You Apply…

Cricut is in a powerful chapter of transformation. We’re evolving fast—refining our strategy, growing our teams, and raising the bar across the board. This is an incredible opportunity for the right kind of person—but it’s not for everyone.

We’re looking for A players —people who don’t just meet expectations, but consistently exceed them. If you thrive in dynamic environments and find joy in turning challenges into momentum, keep reading.

Here’s what makes someone a great fit for this role (and for this moment at Cricut) :

You have a bias for urgency.

You don’t wait for perfect clarity to take action—you start, learn, and adjust. You believe that speed matters, especially when paired with thoughtfulness. You ask : “What can move forward today?” and push past inertia.

You set high standards—especially for yourself.

You’re proud of your work and protective of your reputation. You take ownership, deliver quality, and don’t cut corners. You hold yourself accountable without waiting to be asked.

You stay focused when things are moving fast.

You can identify what really matters and don’t get distracted by noise. You prioritize well, and manage your time wisely.

    You collaborate like a pro.

You elevate the people around you, communicate clearly, and give thoughtful feedback. You’re low ego, high output—and your team loves working with you.

One More Thing (It’s a Big One) :

This role is in-office at least 3–4 days per week.

We believe that real collaboration, innovation, and culture are built face-to-face. If you’re energized by working alongside smart, kind, creative people—and enjoy those unplanned hallway conversations that spark great ideas—you’ll love it here.

If you’re looking for a fully remote role, this likely isn’t the right time or place. But if you’re excited by challenge, purpose, and building something better, we’d love to hear from you.

    Let’s make something amazing—together.

    Relocation Statement :

  • This position is eligible for relocation assistance.
  • What to Do Next :   Please attach your resume, cover letter and / or include links to your portfolio or other social presence. If you want to show your super powers in other ways – include that information too. You can be sure that Cricut® is an employer who values individuality, equality and diversity, so tell us what you’re all about. If you are a Maker or a DIY enthusiast, whether you think you are a good one or not, we would love to hear about it when you send us your information.

Cricut® is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. This position is contingent on successfully completing a Criminal Background Check upon hire. Cricut participates in E-Verify.
