Description
- Manage Terminal costs and expenses through process efficiencies
- Analyze and adjust work schedules, handle quality issues and manage customer interactions internal and external
- Directs Terminal's transportation activities to maintain efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Monitors operational metrics and compliance throughout Terminal and ensure all local, state, and federal regulations are met
- Ensure facility compliance with all applicable laws and standard operating procedures related to safety and security
- Plan for employee training and skill development and handle disciplinary issues.
- Ensure operations align with company policies and procedures
- Foster a "safety first" culture through awareness, training, and accountability
- Support, mentor, and motivate the salaried and hourly workforce
- Interfaces with other Terminal managers to ensure network efficiencies are achieved in all operation areas : Including timely dispatch and internal and external efficient communication.
- Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control
- Complete all necessary operational records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion
- Closely manage staff working hours and activities to minimize overtime and to meet or exceed productivity targets Safely
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly operational and sales KPI's that drive performance and accountability
- Understand the location-specific customer goals & objectives and work to meet and exceed these expectations daily
- Manages Fleet Assets and forecasts future equipment needs
- Properly plan work assignments to ensure effective use of fleet equipment
- Work with staff to ensure they understand the safe and efficient operation of equipment
- Work with vendors to ensure equipment is maintained accordingly
- Responsible for terminal revenue growth and leads and supports new customer / business development.
- Reports and maintains revenue / sales data and closely works with VP of Sales
- Adapts readily to a changing environment consistent with business needs
- Continues to seek greater knowledge and improve skills level to prepare for greater responsibility within the Company

What you need to succeed at Pinnacle :
Required skills and Experience :
- Minimum of 7 years of managerial / supervisory experience
- Experience across multiple logistics operations elements, including all modes of transportation, fleet, distribution, ecommerce fulfillment, and network optimization.
- Experience identifying and implementing new transportation processes and systems.
- Critical Competencies for Success include expertise in Dedicated Fleet Operations, Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, and 3PL relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and vendors.
- Strong business and financial acumen.

Requirements
Education and Training
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Bilingual English / Spanish a plus
- knowledge of logistics-related systems (TMS, PMS, WMS, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
- Working knowledge of financial accounting and human resources practices
