The Project Manager is at the center of all project activities and responsible for the performance of the project team. A Project Manager is held accountable for effectively planning, documenting, and monitoring projects assigned to them and must ensure the safety, profitability and client satisfaction associated with each project.
This requires a Project Manager to effectively schedule, plan, and control all project activities required for a project to be successful.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
SAFETY
- Responsible for the safety of EVERYONE on each project e., implementing and ensuring the company’s safety and risk management policy is being utilized and participation improves
- Measure and track safety metrics for all projects
- Daily FLARE card participation of everyone on the project
- Daily Ensure morning safety meeting is being held and obtain roster from superintendent
- Weekly project audit
- Responsible for specific plans that engineer safety into each project
- Manage safety related claims with Regional Manager and Safety in a timely manner
PROJECT MANAGEMENT / PERFORMANCE
- Responsible to fully understand safety, annual revenue, and gross profit goals at the start of each project / year
- Monitor personal performance against goals monthly
- Understand customer service and customer development goals
Preconstruction / Estimating
- Project manager is responsible for the successful completion of the following Estimating Responsibilities :
- Request for proposal score
- Kick off Meeting
- Write Approach
- Baseline Schedule (WBS Only No Durations)
- Estimate
- Bid Review
- Responsible for completing the following items in a timely manner for each project Site Safety PlanWork packResumeScheduleExecution PlanProposalSubmission
Construction
- Responsible for completing and submitting a Project Startup Checklist to the Regional Manager in a timely manner. This includes :
- Schedule
- Work packs
- Execution Plan
- Schedule of Values
- Tracking / Reporting (Excel & Procore)
- Manpower Req
- Site Safety Plan
- Quality Plan
Project Close Out
- Responsible for conducting a thorough Project Review and submitting the finding to the Regional Manager. This should include a thorough project review :
- Estimate vs. Actuals
- Lessons Learned
- Upload of Project Documents to Server
- Responsible for completing / obtaining all close out bonds, permits, etc.
CLIENT CARE
- Responsible for ensuring regular and clear communications between clients and operations
- Developing and maintaining clients in area assigned by Regional Manager
ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT
- Responsible for the successful implementation of all strategy, policies, and other corporate initiatives in a timely manner
- Maintains a functional relationship with other company departments
- Regularly conducts procedure audits on each project to ensure compliance with corporate goals and initiatives
