Accounts Payable Specialist

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial accuracy of our organization. You will be responsible for reviewing and validating financial data, analyzing invoices, managing vendor payments, and ensuring the smooth operation of accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities :

• Review and validate financial data by reconciling entries and comparing system reports to account balances.
• Analyze invoices and expense reports to allocate charges to appropriate accounts and cost centers.
• Manage vendor payments, including identifying discount opportunities, verifying tax ID information, and resolving discrepancies related to purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
• Maintain accurate accounting records by verifying and posting transactions to the general ledger.
• Reconcile vendor statements and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes by completing assigned tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Respond to audit requests by providing documentation and clarification related to accounts payable activities.
• Organize and maintain historical records through scanning and filing of financial documents.
• Calculate and report sales tax obligations based on paid invoices.
• Uphold confidentiality and protect sensitive financial information.
• Stay current with industry best practices by participating in training and development opportunities.
• Contribute to the overall success of the accounting team by completing related duties as assigned.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract position based out of Ocala, Florida.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
