Administrative Program Coordinator I - Emergency Medicine

This critical role supports our physicians and ensures the operational effectiveness of the Department of Emergency Medicine. The ideal caregiver possesses strong Microsoft Office skillsespecially in Excel for pulling data and creating pivot tables, PowerPoint for developing creative presentations, and Teams for collaboration. They must communicate effectively with leadership, be detail-oriented, and work well both independently and as part of a team.

A caregiver in this position works days, 7 : 30am4 : 00pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will :

  • Function as a liaison and administrative, technical, and operational resource.
  • Assist the Director with projects and daily tasks.
  • Coordinate policy evaluation and implementation.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities to create an efficient workplace.
  • Develop communications and databases.
  • With guidance from Director, lead or coordinate multiple projects and policy initiatives.
  • Update, monitor and manage databases.
  • Develop scorecards and milestones to track progress.
  • Analyze project improvement and progress.
  • Report discrepancies and variances.
  • Coordinate project prioritization and assist with policy and initiative implementation.
  • Assist with scheduling, coordination, preparation, and communication of meetings.
  • Attend meetings and record key outcomes.
  • Support all office administrative functions.
  • Develop and maintain updates.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include :

  • Associate's Degree and two years of administrative experience.
  • OR High School Diploma / GED and four years of experience.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • May require a license based on department / institute needs.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with software applications.
  • Skills / qualities : multitasking, critical thinking, decisive judgment, independent, interactive, communication and customer service.
  • Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • Healthcare or related organization experience.
  • Knowledge of project management and communication practices.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • High degree dexterity to operate office equipment and personal computer.
  • May require extended periods of sitting and frequent standing.
  • Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
  • May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Personal Protective Equipment :

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
