Site Superintendent
The Site Superintendent oversees the jobsite successfully, safe, on-time and within-budget; assists in scheduling, ordering, organizing, and directing subcontractors, bringing a high degree of quality and diligence to the worksite.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Communication with subcontractors, local officials, owners, staff, and client through phone, email, text, and writing in a clear, concise, timely, and professional manner
- Site meetings with clients, vendors, sub-contractors, inspectors, and staff
- Understand and adhere to project scope and prevent scope creep
- Recognize when change orders may be necessary and alert PMs to determine further steps
- Provide leadership, support, and direction for 1-3 field technicians and/or foremen
- Follow and enforce safety protocols
- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis, hold tailgate talks, and ensure required PPE is available and used/worn properly
- Report reckless or dangerous activities when encountered including drug or alcohol use
- Coordinate with other crews and contractors on site
- Motivate, delegate personnel, and work with crews to maintain production rates and schedules
- Read and understand blueprints, specifications, and other project related documents
- Maintain as-built or redline drawings
- Oversee quality control and safety
- Site inspections
- Update utility locates as needed
- Attend progress meetings with clients as required
- End of day worksite walk a. Check all tools have been returned to truck and verify against inventory list b. On-site machinery check (off, locked, safe)
- Manage meeting project budgets, materials, schedules, staffing, and equipment needs with PM
- Record daily installation quantities accurately and in a timely manner

- Job will require you to work in the field at times
- Daily inspection and reporting on condition of vehicles and tools
- Obtain OSHA certifications as required
- Minimum 1-3 years construction site experience
- A minimum of 2-4 years supervisory experience and/or training preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level is preferred. Required to learn proprietary software
- Maintain strong customer service, problem solving, decision making, and strategic planning
- Ability to read and interpret plans and technical specifications
- Ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy
- Able to stay calm, even tempered, and not take things personally during stressful situations
- Must be able to respond quickly and stay composed in potential hazardous areas/situations
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Be committed to high quality performance including accuracy and thoroughness while working safely and efficiently
- Commitment to maintaining safe workplace environment and awareness of surrounding environment to identify potential hazards
- Can balance individual responsibilities and contribute to teamwork. Must also be a strong leader and can motivate a team
- Acceptance and ability to work with and for diverse population Intermediate math and calculator skills are required
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and IT systems and programs
- Knowledge of skidsteer, loader, excavator and dozer operation preferred
