Digital And It Enterprise Manager For Infrastructure Architecture
Directs the development and management of specific components of Information Technology enterprise systems or services. Supports business unit implementation of such systems and services. The Digital and IT Enterprise Manager for Infrastructure Architecture is responsible for driving the strategy, governance, and execution of enterprise infrastructure architecture. This role will serve as the Technical Design Authority for infrastructure-related initiatives, ensuring that technology decisions align with business needs, enterprise standards, and long-term scalability. The leader will oversee the IT Infrastructure Portfolio, provide 3rd party vendor oversight, and play a critical role in new technology selection reviews by guiding deep technical evaluations and ensuring alignment with the organization's architecture roadmap. The role also requires close collaboration with other infrastructure technology leaders to manage the infrastructure portfolio and provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership.
Scope / Supervision and Interaction : Has Direct Reports Works with Enterprise, Group and Division staff. Supervises solution architects, project leaders, and technical analysts. Supports working relationships with vendors and Parker locations.
Key Responsibilities, but not limited to :
- Technical Design Authority (TDA) : Serve as the decision-making authority for all infrastructure architecture designs, standards, and patterns in collaboration with solution and functional architects aligned with Parker standards. Ensure solution designs comply with enterprise architecture principles, security, standards, and regulatory requirements. Provide architectural review and approvals for infrastructure-related projects.
- IT Infrastructure Portfolio Management : Define a process and work with Infrastructure portfolio leaders to track and maintain the infrastructure architecture portfolio, ensuring technology investments are rationalized, modernized, and optimized. Collaborate with other IT and business leaders to align the portfolio with enterprise strategy. Support lifecycle management and roadmaps for infrastructure technologies. Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities within the infrastructure portfolio.
- Vendor Oversight & Engagement : Manage relationships with strategic infrastructure technology vendors and service providers. Provide technical oversight of vendor deliverables, ensuring alignment with design standards and operational excellence. Participate in contract and service performance reviews, ensuring accountability for outcomes. Support key contract renewals related to infrastructure services only, ensuring that architecture, service quality, and future roadmap needs are addressed.
- New Technology Selection & Review Process : Support and track infrastructure architecture reviews as part of the technology selection process. Conduct deep technical evaluations of emerging technologies, assessing scalability, security, and integration. Provide recommendations to key stakeholders on adoption, investment, or decommissioning decisions.
- Technology Strategy, Governance & Reporting : Define and enforce infrastructure architecture principles, standards, and best practices. Partner with Architecture, Security, and Application teams to ensure holistic technology alignment. Collaborate with other key leaders to track, measure, and report on portfolio health, risks, and progress. Deliver regular updates, metrics, and recommendations to senior leadership and executive committees. Stay current on industry trends, emerging infrastructure technologies, and innovation opportunities.
Success Criteria / KPIs : Infrastructure Portfolio Modernization : % of technologies aligned to strategic roadmap and
