Campus Safety Officer-Substitute

Overview

Campus Safety Officer - Substitute at The Out-of-Door Academy. The role supports the Director of Health & Safety and contributes to a safe campus environment across multiple sites on Siesta Key, Lakewood Ranch and Clark Road.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and security services while on duty at any of the school campuses located on Siesta Key, Lakewood Ranch and Clark Road. Coverage may be for days, afternoons, evenings or weekends.
• Ensure a safe learning environment for the school's students, faculty, staff, families, and visitors through high visibility and / or CCTV monitoring.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic while enforcing parking regulations on campus.
• Support the Director of Health & Safety (DoHS) and Campus Safety Officers with campus / building security.
• Screen and authorize vehicles, guests, and vendors entering campus to ensure safety and security.
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents and accidents on ODA campus related to students and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation And Benefits

This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Shift and hours availability may vary depending on the school's needs. Compensation is highly competitive and commensurate with experience.
