General Function :
This position is responsible to administer select benefit programs in compliance with federal and state regulation as well as established Bank policies. Assists in researching, analyzing, and evaluating existing benefits policies and prevailing practices among similar organizations to recommend changes to existing plans and / or develop new plans which may establish more competitive benefit programs in benefit areas assigned. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage highly complex benefit plans and policies with focus on Leave of Absence, Sick and Safe Compliance and time away programs.
- Assist with the design, evaluation and administration of Leave of Absence, Disability, Time Away and EAP benefit policies and programs and ensure the plans are competitive and in compliance with legal requirements.
- Coordinate and partner with HRIS partners for configuration and maintenance of applicable programs in HRIS system (Workday).
- Analyze benefits experience and utilization patterns to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Participate in vendor RFP process.
- Manage implementation process for new vendors and programs.
- Reviews and coordinates the delivery of employee benefits communications.
- Educate employees, managers, HR partners about leave policies, programs, and updates.
- Responsible for third party vendor management to ensure quality service and accurate administration of plans.
- Assist employees and internal partners to resolve escalated benefit issues.
- Ensure integration of benefit programs such as disability, job protections, and benefit coverage continuation.
- Update and maintain plan documents and policy materials to reflect regulatory changes, updates, and best practices.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Master degree preferred but not required.5-10 years of related experience.HR / Benefits certification preferred.Strong written and oral communication skills.Must be comfortable with public speaking.Strong desire for accuracy, a concern for detail.Strong problem solving, technical and analytical abilities.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.Ability to work independently with a multitude of tasks.Must be proficient in the use of PC (Microsoft Office package - Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Location Cincinnati, Ohio 45202
