This position supports various administrative functions within the department, including :
- CME conference coordination
- Visiting resident rotator program coordination
- New faculty onboarding
- Administrative support to department leadership and faculty
- Travel and reimbursement coordination for faculty and visiting speakers
- Back-up coordinator for residency programs
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience3-5 years of program administration, preferably in higher education or healthcareTyping and data entry skillsStrong organization and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and department-specific softwareESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide administrative coordination and support for CME conferences, visiting rotators, residency programs, and department leadershipScreen calls and visitors professionally, handle inquiries, and document communicationsArrange travel, perform administrative follow-up, and schedule meetings with prepared materialsAssist with department budget updates and invoice processingServe as intermediary for supervisor, interacting with staff and officials, and translating policiesMaintain staff records and coordinate training schedulesThe salary range is based on the University of Maryland's Faculty Physician's Inc. guidelines.
