Primary Responsibilities

In the role of a CAD Technician, we'll count on you to :

• Create detailed electrical designs for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Create or revise drawings per client standards.
• Organize CAD files per program requirements and company standards.
• Coordinate drafting tasks with designers and engineers to complete projects on schedule.
• Create detailed electrical designs for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Perform basic system calculations, drawing production, some master specification editing, and cost estimating assistance.
• Perform assignments utilizing standard engineering techniques and procedures under the supervision of a licensed professional.
• Direct the efforts of less-experienced CAD Technicians as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with electrical and mechanical projects
• AutoCAD, MicroStation and MS Office Suite Software knowledge
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Utilities, commercial or institutional facilities; Healthcare, Science and Technology and / or Civic facilities.

The expected compensation range for this position is $61,000- $87,000 annually depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.

Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles are eligible for limited benefits.
