Maintenance Worker - USMS
Position Description :
CGI is looking for a Sr. Management Analyst III with USMS in Arlington, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities :
As a skilled multipurpose craftsman, performs installations, general maintenance and repair to equipment and buildings requiring knowledge (but not proficiency) in such a wide cross-section of trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and general maintenance.
- This may involve a variety of tasks including but not limited to : hanging and repairing drywall, plastering or compounding holes and cracks and ceilings;
- installing, repairing sinks, and plumbing fixtures; sanding, priming, and painting structures and equipment; installing and replacing damaged panels, ceiling tiles and floor tiles;
- hanging doors and installing locksets; performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; removing debris; moving furniture and equipment;
and performing other general maintenance and repair.
Provides assistance with the coordination of construction projects which are often of a controversial and highly sensitive nature.
Often times projects are especially urgent, and solutions require the use of expert innovative problem-solving techniques.
Represents the Office of Construction Management and USMS in space management and construction activity meetings with GSA, architectural and engineering consultants, landlord, and individual contractors to make significant decisions on behalf of the USMS that will impact on the Services mission and function.
Prepares independent budget estimates for space acquisition, renovations, repairs, and refurbishment for USMS Headquarters.
Conducts on-site detailed inspections during and after construction to ensure that workmanship and materials conform to USMS design standards and approved plans.
Takes necessary steps and actions to correct deficiencies as approved by the Supervisor.
Conducts surveys for present and projected space requirements for Headquarters administrative and special purpose space to insure functional, healthy, and safe work environments.
EDUCATION : The ideal candidate will have High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of six years’ experience providing a wide cross-section of skills as a craftsman performing facilities installation, maintenance and repair relevant to assigned area of responsibility.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role :
- Must have relevant work experience
- Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.
- All candidates must be able to obtain a DOJ MRPT clearance and meet all security requirements.
Hourly Rate : $39.62 / hour
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to : skill set level;
experience and training; and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
