Program Administrator
The Department of Cancer Biology is seeking a motivated full-time Program Administrator. The successful candidate will work directly with the Interim Chair, Dr. Bodour Salhia.
The Program Administrator supports the academic, research, clinical, and administrative activities of the Cancer Biology Department by coordinating day-to-day operations and ensuring efficient program delivery. Key responsibilities include processing and monitoring budgets and financial transactions, maintaining records and compliance documentation, scheduling courses and meetings, and providing operational support for faculty and research initiatives. The specialist assists in implementing departmental policies, coordinating outreach efforts, and supporting program services. This role serves as a resource to faculty, staff, students, and collaborators, helping to resolve operational issues and streamline workflows. The position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively support the department's mission in cancer research, education, and clinical collaboration.
The expected annual base salary range for this position is $82,992.08 - 95,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Minimum Education : Bachelor's degree, Combined experience / education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience : 3 years
Minimum Field of Expertise : Directly related professional experience in area of program specialization.
