Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future
Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships up to 10x faster and up to 2x cheaper. By combining advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we are reinventing how America produces its most critical parts.
We recently raised $260 million dollar Series C to accelerate this mission. We are excited to be launching a new Factory in Mesa, Arizona, a 270,000 square foot facility that will create 350 new jobs immediately. We are opening a new headquarters to support thousands of future hires, launching Hadrian Maritime to serve naval production, and introducing a Factory-as-a-Service model that delivers complete systems instead of individual parts.
Hadrian works with startups, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and major defense contractors across space, shipbuilding, and aviation to scale production, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery on mission-critical programs. We are backed by leading investors including Lux Capital, Founders Fund, and Andreessen Horowitz. Our fast-growing team is united by a shared mission to reindustrialize American manufacturing for the 21st century and beyond!
The Role
The Factory Technician (1st Shift) is an entry level manufacturing position and the foundation for Hadrian's continued success. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about aerospace or defense manufacturing with a curiosity for how things are made. In this role you receive thorough on the job training for various stations throughout the factory therefore willingness to learn and follow training procedure is more important than industry experience.
Shift Hours : Monday - Friday 7 : 30 am - 4 pm PT.
What You'll Do
New technicians are typically assigned to our Central Operations team, which covers managing all work before and after the machining process. Central Operations has 5 different stations, you will rotate throughout various stations and you will learn them through on the job training :
Material Prep : receive and transact raw metal; cut to size using an automated bandsaw and basic metrology tools
Tool Crib : assemble and dis-assemble machine tools, work with pre-setters and ensure the correct angles and measurements
Part-Mark : use different machines and techniques (laser, epoxy, ink) to serialize machined parts
Shipping & Receiving : send out parts and manage visual inspection of parts back from outside processing
Rework : employ manual techniques to perform small modifications on parts so that they fit customer requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Willingness to learn precision inspection techniques and follow rigid training procedures
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift objects up to 40 pounds unassisted
- Experience with hand tools or pneumatic tools is preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
